Lux Rewards
Lux is the reward unit of the Lombard ecosystem. By deploying LBTC and BTC.b into eligible DeFi protocols, you earn Lux points that convert to BARD token allocations at the end of each season. The program incentivizes active participation in the ecosystem rather than passive holding.
What Are Lux
Lux are off-chain reward points that track your contribution to the Lombard ecosystem. They are earned by deploying LBTC and BTC.b into eligible DeFi protocols across supported chains. At the end of each season, your accumulated Lux determines your share of that season’s BARD allocation.
Passive holding of LBTC or BTC.b does not earn Lux. You must actively deploy your assets into eligible protocols to participate.
Season 3
Season 3 is the current active season of the Lux program. It builds on lessons from previous seasons with updated multipliers and expanded chain support.

How to Earn in Season 3
- Acquire LBTC or BTC.b — Mint through the Lombard app or acquire on supported exchanges and DEXs
- Deploy into eligible protocols — Supply your tokens to lending markets, DEX liquidity pools, or Bitcoin Earn vaults
- Accumulate Lux — Points accrue based on your deployment amount, duration, and the multiplier tier of your chosen protocol
- Convert to BARD — At the end of Season 3, your Lux converts to a BARD token allocation
Season 3 Earning Multipliers
BTC.b Eligibility
BTC.b is fully eligible for Lux rewards in Season 3. Deploying BTC.b into eligible protocols earns Lux at the same multiplier rates as LBTC. This provides flexibility for users who prefer the 1:1 BTC parity of BTC.b while still participating in the rewards program.
Referrals
Referring new users earns you 20% of all Lux generated by your referrals. Your referred users receive a 10% boost to their own Lux earnings. Referral rewards apply to all protocols and multiplier tiers. See the Referral Program page for full details.
How Lux Convert to BARD
At the end of each season, the total BARD allocation for that season is distributed proportionally based on each participant’s share of total Lux earned. If you earned 1% of all Lux during the season, you receive 1% of the season’s BARD allocation.
The conversion rate is not fixed — it depends on the total amount of Lux earned by all participants and the size of the season’s BARD allocation.
Claiming BARD
BARD allocations from completed seasons are claimable through the Lombard claim portal at claim.lombard.finance . Each season has its own claim event with specific timing:
Active Claim Events
- Season 1 Phase 2: 1.5% of supply plus all referral Lux rewards, claimable since March 18, 2026
- Season 2: 1.5% of supply (15,000,000 BARD), 100% claimable since March 30, 2026
BARD Allocation History
Season History
- Season 1 — Ran from protocol launch through TGE (September 2025). Rewarded early adopters who minted and deployed LBTC. 4% of total supply allocated across three claim phases.
- Season 2 — Ran from September 18, 2025 through March 18, 2026. Expanded chain support and protocol integrations. 1.5% of supply allocated.
- Season 3 — Currently active. Introduced standardized 3-tier multiplier system, expanded to five chains, and added full BTC.b eligibility.
