Kaito Yappers

In February 2025, Lombard allocated 1.6 million $BARD tokens (0.16% of total supply) to reward content creators who discuss LBTC, BTC.b, and Bitcoin DeFi on X (formerly Twitter). This allocation flowed through Kaito, an AI-powered platform that measures social media influence and converts it into quantifiable value. Kaito's algorithm evaluates content quality, engagement authenticity, and community impact, then distributes rewards proportionally to contributors.

On 18th September 2025, 0.08% of supply was airdropped to Yappers as part of the $BARD TGE.

On 14th January 2026, X changed it's developer API policies to disallow 'InfoFi' projects like Kaito from using it's API. Lombard's Kaito Leaderboard will remain public, allowing new members to find Lombard’s key thought leaders. However, the leaderboard in now strictly unincentivized, and rewards are no longer associated with the leaderboard.

A pro-rated reward distribution from 18th September to the 14th January will take place in March, reducing the total $BARD allocation from 0.08% to 0.052% for the period. All remaining $BARD will be reallocated to future community growth campaigns.

What is Kaito

Kaito operates as an "InfoFi" (information finance) platform that tracks crypto discourse across social media. The system uses AI to analyze millions of posts daily, identifying which content genuinely contributes to ecosystem understanding versus low-effort spam or engagement farming.

Projects like Lombard partner with Kaito to reward their most valuable community voices. When you create content about Lombard that generates meaningful engagement, Kaito tracks it and attributes value to your account.

How Yapping Works

"Yapping" means creating crypto content on X. Kaito's AI evaluates your contributions across three dimensions:

Proof of Work measures the volume of relevant content you create. Consistent posting about Lombard topics signals commitment to the ecosystem.

Proof of Exchange tracks engagement quality. Interactions from established Crypto Twitter accounts ("Smart Followers") carry more weight than engagement from new or low-reputation accounts. Kaito identifies coordinated engagement rings and discounts artificial interactions.

Proof of Insight rewards original thinking. Content that explains concepts clearly, provides unique analysis, or sparks meaningful discussion scores higher than repetitive posts or simple retweets.

Tweets earn Mindshare for 7 days after posting. Weekly caps limit how many top-performing posts count, preventing single viral tweets from dominating rewards.

The Lombard Leaderboard

Kaito maintains project-specific leaderboards showing top contributors. Access the Lombard leaderboard herearrow-up-right.

The leaderboard displays the Top 100 accounts contributing mindshare to Lombard, with daily updates in rolling 7-day and 30-day views. Ranking factors include:

  • Consistency of Lombard-related posting

  • Content quality over raw volume

  • Engagement from reputable accounts

  • Original insights about LBTC, BTC.b, or Bitcoin DeFi

Minimum contribution thresholds apply. Accounts with negligible Lombard mindshare do not appear on the leaderboard.

Claiming Your $BARD Allocation

Lombard Yapper rewards claim through Kaito's portal, not through Lombard's main claim system.

  1. Go to yaps.kaito.ai/airdrops

  2. Connect the wallet you registered with Kaito

  3. View your $BARD allocation

  4. Claim available tokens

The first tranche (50% of your allocation) became claimable at TGE. The second tranche unlocks six months post-TGE. Each claim event has a limited window—unclaimed tokens return to the ecosystem fund.

Earning the Yapper Badge

Lombard offers a Yapper badge worth 1,500 Lux for active content creators. This badge claims through the Lombard Rewards Pagearrow-up-right, separate from Kaito's $BARD allocation.

The Yapper badge requires demonstrable activity creating Lombard content on X. Kaito's tracking determines eligibility—accounts with minimal or zero Lombard mindshare do not qualify.

This means active yappers earn from three sources:

  • $BARD from Lombard's 1.6M allocation (via Kaito)

  • 1,500 Lux from the Yapper badge (via Lombard)

  • Yap Points and $KAITO tokens (via Kaito's own program)
