$BARD Claims Eligibility Criteria
Lux holders
Eligibility
Participants must have earned at least 5,000 Lux. This is equivalent to holding approximately 0.01 LBTC for 30 days. The minimum threshold is set based on analysis showing a heavy concentration of low-value activity below this level.
Lux is an activity-based metric designed to recognize authentic usage of Lombard's products. Users who held LBTC, used LBTC in DeFi, earned badges and referred friends may be eligible to claim.
Allocation
40,000,000 $BARD has been allocated to 81,489 eligible Season 1 participants.
30,000,000 $BARD to participants earning Lux. The allocation is linear; the more Lux, the more $BARD, with an average allocation of 367 $BARD.
At TGE, half of a users' allocation is available to claim, excluding any allocation earned from user referrals.
After 6 months, the remaining half of a users' allocation is claimable, including any allocation earned from user referrals.
10,000,000 $BARD to strategic liquidity providers who provided large allocations to liquidity pools; to support DEX depth, seed lending, and Pendle markets. Such participants have been excluded to prevent dilution of Lux and are subject to a 12-month lockup schedule.
Exclusions
Activity on Solana, Katana, and TAC is not eligible. Additional Lux in Season 2 will be issued via a badge with a specific Lux allocation.
Any unclaimed $BARD after the 90-day claim period will be returned to the Ecosystem Fund.
The $BARD airdrop is subject to additional Terms and Conditions.
Kaito Yappers
Eligibility
Yappers must have contributed over 0.01% mindshare. All Yappers with contributions over 0.01% mindshare contributed to growing Lombard’s community and are eligible to claim, regardless of if they had Yaps or appeared on the Leaderboard.
Allocation
0.16% of total token supply (1,600,000 BARD) is allocated to the entire program.
Out of the 0.16% of supply, 50% is allocated to 450 eligible Season 1 participants.
Claim events
There are two separate claim events: at TGE and in 6 months.
For each claim event, users have 90 days to claim. Any unclaimed $BARD after the 90-day claim period will be returned to the Ecosystem Fund.
Claims will be via the Kaito Airdrop portal: https://yaps.kaito.ai/airdrops
Community Sale
Eligibility
21,340 verified participants from 132 countries worldwide.
Allocation
Lombard Lux holders and UGC Campaign participants received Priority Allocations (guaranteed allocations) and higher contribution limits.
1.5% of total token supply (15,000,000 BARD) was allocated to the sale.
Claim events
All allocations are fully unlocked at TGE.
Claims will be via the Buidlpad Portal: https://buidlpad.com/projects/lombard
General FAQ
What is $BARD
$BARD is the native token of the Lombard Protocol, designed for security, utility, and governance. Holding $BARD enables:
Governance: Voting on proposals, including fee policies, product roadmaps, and ecosystem grants from the Liquid Bitcoin Foundation.
Security: Participation in staking to secure the LBTC bridge, Lombard Ledger, and other infrastructure.
Protocol Utility: Discounts and priority access to new Lombard products.
In short: $BARD is the key to participating in Lombard’s ecosystem and shaping the future of Bitcoin onchain.
How many tokens are out there?
There are 1,000,000,000 $BARD tokens in total. Tokens unlock linearly over 48 months according to the distribution and vesting schedules outlined. At launch, the circulating supply will be 22.5% of total token supply.
What is the utility of BARD?
$BARD is immediately usable for governance, security, protocol utility, ecosystem development. At launch, staking $BARD will strengthen the security of the LBTC cross-chain bridge through Chainlink CCIP. The tokenomics announcement outlines these utilities in detail, and governance will continue to expand them over time: https://www.lombard.finance/blog/bard-tokenomics.
What is the difference between LBTC and $BARD?
LBTC is an institutional grade yield-bearing BTC, fully-backed by BTC and free to compose throughout DeFi across 13 blockchains. LBTC allows allocators to grow their BTC holdings while retaining core exposure to the asset. $BARD, on the other hand, is the native token of the Lombard Protocol itself. Both are core to Lombard, but they serve very different purposes.
Airdrop FAQ
Is there an airdrop?
Yes. Season 1 distributes 4% of the total supply to users who held LBTC and used it in DeFi.
Season 2 will distribute another 1.5% of total supply.
Who qualified for the airdrop?
Eligibility for the $BARD Airdrop can be found above.
How do Lux points convert to $BARD?
The rate is the same for all participants, calculated from the total Lux earned across the community relative to the 4% of supply allocated for Season 1.
Will I need to pass KYC for the airdrop?
No. However, all wallets will go through an AML and sanctions screening process. This ensures that addresses linked to illicit activity, hacks, or compliance risks are excluded.
BARD Claims Checker FAQ
Both the checker and claims can be found on the same link: https://claim.lombard.finance
Claims will be open from 18 September, 2025 at 10:00 AM UTC.
How do I check my allocation?
You can verify your allocation directly through the official Lombard Claims portal. The process is simple and doesn’t require any signature or gas fees, since the checker is read-only.
Go to the portal: https://claim.lombard.finance
Connect your wallet: Use the same wallet you used to stake LBTC, earn Lux, or participate in Lombard activities.
View your allocation: Your eligible amount will appear instantly.
The checker only displays allocations from Lombard activities and Lux points. It does not include:
Rewards for Kaito Yappers (handled exclusively via Kaito’s Airdrop portal).
Allocations for Buidlpad Community Sale participant (claimable from Buidlpad).
Can I check allocations for multiple wallets?
Yes, but each wallet must be checked individually. The checker only reads the wallet that you connect at the moment, so if you participated with multiple wallets, you will need to connect each one separately.
Can I transfer or trade my tokens as soon as I see them in the checker?
No. The checker is read-only. Your tokens do not exist in your wallet yet. They will only exist once you claim them at TGE. Until then, there is nothing to transfer or sell.
Are my tokens vested or fully liquid?
There are two separate claim events: at TGE and in 6 months.
For each claim event, users have 90 days to claim. Any unclaimed $BARD after the 90-day claim period is returned to the Ecosystem Fund.
The amounts of $BARD claimable at each claim event may be different:
All Season 1 Lux, excluding Lux earned from user referrals, is distributed equally over the two claim events.
Lux earned from user referrals in Season 1 is distributed at 6 month claim event only. No $BARD is attributed to Lux earned from user referrals at TGE.
What should I do if the checker shows zero tokens or an incorrect number?
If the checker shows “0” or a number you believe is wrong, the first step is to make sure you are checking the correct wallet on the correct network, and that you actually qualified through one of the eligible activities. Allocations are based strictly on onchain activity and Lux points, not Kaito or Buidlpad allocations. If your actions were not recorded, they cannot be rewarded.
$BARD Token Generation Event & Claim FAQ
How do I claim my $BARD?
To claim your tokens, you must go to the official claim page linked from Lombard’s website, blog, Discord, and X (formerly Twitter), which is: http://claim.lombard.finance/. Connect the same wallet you used for your Lombard activity and follow the instructions. You will be prompted to acknowledge that you agree to the terms and conditions of the airdrop and sign a transaction onchain. This transaction requires a small amount of gas, and once it is confirmed, the unlocked portion of your $BARD will appear directly in your wallet.
Before you claim:
Double-check these items to avoid mistakes:
You are connected to Ethereum mainnet with the self-custodial wallet where you want to receive $BARD.
If part of your allocation comes from Sui activity, both your Sui wallet and Ethereum wallet are connected.
If you used multiple wallets, be ready to claim them one by one, as allocations are tied to addresses and not merged. If you used both Wallet A and Wallet B in Lombard activities, you will need to go through the claim process once with Wallet A and once with Wallet B.
You have a small amount of ETH in your wallet to cover the gas fee for the claim transaction.
You are only using the official claim link published by Lombard (http://claim.lombard.finance/), and you have verified the $BARD contract address: 0xf0DB65D17e30a966C2ae6A21f6BBA71cea6e9754.
On which chain does the claim happen?
The $BARD claim is conducted exclusively on Ethereum mainnet. The claim contract is deployed on Ethereum, and all eligible users must connect their wallet to mainnet in order to complete the transaction.
Can I claim from any wallet or exchange address?
No. You can only claim from the exact self-custodial wallet that earned the allocation.
How can I confirm that my claim was successful?
After submitting the claim transaction, you can verify it in two ways. First, your wallet should show the $BARD balance once the transaction is confirmed and you have added the token contract address. Second, you can view the transaction on the block explorer to confirm that it executed correctly. If you see the balance in your wallet and the transaction shows success, your claim is complete.
Where can I add $BARD to my wallet?
You may need to add the $BARD contract manually to your wallet in order for the tokens to display. The official contract address is 0xf0DB65D17e30a966C2ae6A21f6BBA71cea6e9754. Only use the address from official sources.
How is Sui linked to Ethereum for claiming? Can I change my wallet?
If part of your allocation comes from Sui activity, you must link both your Sui wallet and your Ethereum wallet during the claim process. This ensures that your Sui-earned allocation is bridged correctly and delivered on Ethereum, since the $BARD token contract only exists on Ethereum mainnet.
Once you confirm and submit the claim transaction, the tokens are sent to the Ethereum wallet you connected. This action is final, the claim cannot be redirected to another address. If you later want the tokens in a different wallet, you can transfer them manually after the claim settles, but the original claim destination cannot be changed.
What happens if I forget to claim?
The claim window officially opens on September 18, 2025, and will remain open until 00:00 UTC December 18, 2025, a period of 90 days. During this window you can claim your tokens at any time. Any tokens not claimed at the end of each 90 day claim event will be returned to the Ecosystem Fund. The safest path is to claim as soon as possible once you are ready.
Can I claim my Kaito Yapper rewards here?
No. The rewards for Kaito Yappers are distributed through Kaito directly, not through the Lombard claim portal. https://yaps.kaito.ai/airdrops
Can I claim my Buidlpad Community Sale allocation here?
No. Community Sale allocations are handled by Buidlpad, not the Lombard claim portal. https://buidlpad.com/projects/lombard
What if I earned Lux points through Ether.fi and see a discrepancy in the checker?
Allocations from Ether.fi activity are included in the Lombard checker, and you will be able to claim them just like any other eligible points.
Claiming issues or failed transactions
If your claim transaction fails, it’s usually due to one of these common issues:
Not enough ETH for gas: Make sure you have a small balance of ETH in your wallet to cover fees.
Wrong network: The claim is only available on Ethereum mainnet. Switch your wallet to mainnet before retrying.
Ineligible wallet: You must connect the same self-custodial wallet that earned the allocation. Exchange wallets or new wallets will show zero.
If you’ve checked all of the above and the issue persists, open a support ticket either in the Discord or via the in-app support widget, and select the “$BARD” category so the request is routed correctly. We will be there to help you out!
Staking
Can I stake my $BARD at TGE?
Yes. Staking strengthens the security of the LBTC cross-chain bridge through Chainlink CCIP. Every token staked contributes to the robustness of the bridge and the interoperability of LBTC. Stakers are rewarded both with $BARD yield and with incentives from partner protocols. Unstaking takes 21 days.
What rewards do I get for staking?
At TGE, stakers can receive a yield of 240% APY paid in $BARD, which gradually tapers to 30% after 30 days. Additional external rewards are available in the form of Symbiotic and Mellow Finance points.
Can I stake and unstake multiple times?
Yes. You can stake additional $BARD at any time, and each new deposit generates additional stBARD. You can also initiate multiple unstakes, each with its own 21-day countdown.
Do I need to claim rewards manually?
Yes. When you stake $BARD, you receive stBARD, which is a “receipt token.” A receipt token is proof that your original $BARD is safely deposited in the staking contract, but the extra rewards earned must be claimed manually.
