Unstaking LBTC

Introduction

Users can unstake their BTC at any time to a chosen recipient address. A withdrawal period of 7 days is required by Lombard and Babylon for security. After that, your BTC will be available. Note: Lombard only supports unstaking to Native Segwit and Taproot addresses. For more information, see LBTC FAQs.

Step 1: Navigate to the GetLBTC tab

Visit the Lombard App and navigate to the GetLBTC at the top of the page and select Unstake.

Step 2: Connect Wallet

If your wallet is not already connected, select Connect Wallet. After certifying you have read and accepted the Terms of Service in the pop-up window, choose the wallet which you want to unstake LBTC from.

Step 3: Enter Unstake Amount & Bitcoin Address

Enter both the amount of LBTC you wish to unstake and the destination address which you wish to receive BTC. Note: Lombard only supports unstaking to Native Segwit and Taproot addresses. For more information, see LBTC FAQs.

Carefully review the amount, destination address, transaction fee and note the unstaking period of seven days. After you have reviewed, select Unstake.

Step 4: Unstake in Progress

You will then see Unstake in Progress, along with the unstake amount and the transaction ID. In seven days you will receive the BTC at your chosen address.
