Introduction

Users can unstake their BTC at any time to a chosen recipient address. A withdrawal period of 9 days is required by Lombard — daily rebalancing cycle — and Babylon — 7 days unbonding period. After that, your BTC will be available. Unstaking LBTC means your LBTC minted on-chain will be burnt, and your BTC undelegated from the on the BTC network, and made available to you again.

How to unstake LBTC:

  1. Navigate to the . Note that the network and address in shown in the upper right-hand corner is where LBTC will be unstaked from. If the available balance is not what you expected, please ensure you are on the correct network.

  2. Follow the onscreen instructions. The BTC address you provide is where you will receive your BTC.

FAQs:

  1. To which addresses can I unstake BTC to? Lombard only supports unstaking to Native Segwit and Taproot addresses.

  2. Can my unstake be processed quicker? No. This is for the security of the protocol which is being secured by this staked BTC.
