As part of the Luminary Program, users can share a referral link to earn additional Lux. Each referral link is unique to each user, and can be found on the dApp.
Users can find their referral link on the Dashboard tab.
Users can find an overview of their referred users in by clicking See your referrals.
Referral links earn both the referrer (user distributing the link) and the referee (user staking and minting through the referee's link) additional Lux. A referrer will receive 20% of the amount of Lux generated from users staking BTC and minting LBTC by accessing the dApp through their referral link. A referee staking and minting through a referrer's access code will receive an additional 10% Lux. Referral links do not apply to users who enter swap for LBTC through the dApp. Referral links are only for staking BTC, and do not count for staking BTCB. After a referee has staked and minted through the referrers link, they can move their LBTC into the Lombard DeFi Vault or other whitelisted DeFi positions show in the dApp to earn themselves and the referrer additional Lux. Lux accrued through referral links are tracked and monitored by Lombard. Important: the referral program only works for users depositing to a new BTC deposit address via a referral link. A new BTC deposit address is generated each time a user stakes through the Lombard dApp. If a referee initiates a stake through a referral stake, but does not complete the transaction, then the referrer will see under the Your Referrals section the referee's address and a corresponding balance of 0 BTC. Example:
Assume user A receives 5000 Lux, user B 3000 Lux, and user C 2000 Lux. Now, suppose user A had shared a referral link with users B and C. Then, user A would receive an additional 600 + 400 Lux, user B would receive an additional 300 Lux, and user C would receive an additional 200 Lux. So, the final amount of Lux received for users A, B, and C respectively would be, 6000, 3300, and 2200 Lux.
