2) Why is there a BABY airdrop?

The BABY airdrop rewards early participants in Babylon’s staking ecosystem. Users who staked BTC to Finality Providers, or staked via Lombard for LBTC, or acquired LBTC from a DEX or DeFi activities can claim BABY based on their staking activity and accumulated Babylon Points.

All LBTC holders can claim BABY through .

4) Who is eligible to claim BABY directly from Babylon?

BTC stakers who staked directly to Lombard's Finality Provider and did not participate in LBTC, or other LSTs, can claim BABY through .

5) How is the BABY airdrop amount calculated?

Over 400M BABY is airdropped at Babylon's TGE, with an additional 200M BABY reserved for stakers that continue to stake for 100 more days.

Claimable amounts are based on:

The approximate gas fee for Babylon Genesis will be deducted from the BABY you claim. No other fees are charged by Lombard.

Ongoing Incentives and BABY Staking Rewards

12) Will Babylon continue offering incentives after the BABY airdrop?

Yes. The BABY airdrop is only the beginning.

Babylon has allocated an additional 200M BABY for early adopters that remain staked for 100 days after their TGE event. To remain eligible to claim from this additional pool of BABY, users must keep their BTC staked.

Additionally, LBTC will continue to earn BABY as a reward for securing the Babylon Genesis chain. These rewards will be claimable by current LBTC holders from the Staking Yield pool every 2 weeks.

Then, LBTC will earn more staking rewards from BSNs like TAC, BOB, Osmosis & more yet to be announced!

13) Will BABY be used as a staking reward?

Yes. BABY will be issued as:

  • Validator rewards

  • Staking rewards for BTC stakers

14) How can I participate in future BABY incentives?

Users can earn additional BABY by:

  • Remaining staked via LBTC

  • Staking new BTC with Lombard for LBTC

15) Why will unclaimed BABY expire on 22nd July 2025 and be redistributed?
