Swapping

A comprehensive guide to using Lombard's Swap feature.

Introduction

The following instructions will guide you through the process of swapping assets on Lombard’s platform, with an example given of swapping WBTC for LBTC.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the Swap Interface

Navigate to the “Swap” tab on the Lombard dashboard. Press the drop-down menu next to the asset symbol (e.g., ETH) in the “You Send” box.

Step 2: Select the Assets to Swap

You will then see a list of assets available to be swapped in the Lombard app, along with the corresponding amount.

Select the asset which you wish to swap, and the asset you wish to receive in exchange.

Note: LBTC is automatically selected as the receiving asset if you do not manually choose one.

You can either choose an asset directly from the list, or type the asset’s name in the search bar.

Step 3: Confirm Asset Types and Select Swap Amount

After confirming the asset types to swap, input the amount of the selected asset type you wish to swap. You will automatically see both the amount in your wallet, and the amount you will receive.

Your current balance of LBTC will also be shown, allowing you to see how much you’ll hold after the swap is completed.

Review the asset types and amounts a final time before clicking on “Approve” to proceed.

Step 4: Confirm the Approval Transaction

A confirmation request from your connected wallet will then appear. Review the transaction details, including the network fees, and click Confirm in your wallet to authorize the transaction.

Step 5: Execute the Swap

After approving the transaction in your wallet, the “Swap” button will become active. Click the “Swap” button to execute the transaction.

Your wallet will pop up again, asking for final confirmation of the swap transaction. Click “Confirm” to finalize the swap.

Step 6: Review Swap Completion

Once the swap is complete, you will be redirected back to the swap interface. You can see the updated balances in the interface to see the corresponding increase and decrease in the swapped assets. There is no further visual confirmation after a successful swap.
